The Production Team

**Meet the Director: Originally from North Pole, Alaska, Rebecca Casselman** is an American actress, director and writer. She earned a Master of Theatre Arts degree from the University of Central Missouri, and as a military spouse has traveled extensively, directing and acting in several states across the U.S.
Casselman wrote, directed, and produced *Next to North Pole* as her auteur feature film debut. Shooting on location, and collaborating on this feature, was both an exhilarating and humbling experience for her. She is immensely proud of the production and its team.
Her other directing credits include theatre productions: *Crimes of the Heart*, *Poof*, *The Comedy of Errors*, and web series *The Queen Tries*.
In addition, Casselman holds supporting roles in two award-winning independent films, and appeared in season two of HBO’s *Big Little Lies*, and season two of the Netflix production *13 Reasons Why*. She’s also graced the stage in theatrical productions, her favorites including: *Lost in Yonkers*, *Little Women*, and *Charlie’s Aunt*. She is co-host of Candy From Strangers, an international podcast, and offers consulting sessions for the development of fellow artists and collaborators.

**Meet the Director of Photography:** Entrepreneur of the creation studio **Nostalgic Forevers** and St. Louis native, **Darius Marcel Hagens**, is a creator. His DP credits include two short films: *Precursor*, *Divine*, and the web series It’s Complicated. He holds a BFA from the University of Central Missouri in Theatre Performance with a minor in Broadcast Media. He is multifaceted as a cinematographer, actor, and certified life coach. Hagens aspires to change the world around him through art and holistic wellness. To experience Alaska through his lens as lead DP on the feature *Next to North Pole* was life-changing.
